COSCON Container Lines (COSCON) will impose a Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) for all cargo shipped to the ports in the USA and Canada, the container carrier said in its press release. The BAF is effective as of October 1 2013.
For all cargo moving via all-water to U.S. West Coast ports and for intermodal cargo via these ports destined to points in the states of California, Oregon and Washington from Australia, New Zealand, Far East and Indian Sub-Continent, the BAF will be as follows: US$ 424 per 20' CTR, $530 / 40' CTR, $ 596 / 40' HIGH CUBE CTR, $5936 / 40' HIGH CUBE REEFER and $671 / 45' CTR.
For all intermodal cargo and minilandbridge intermodal cargo via West Coast ports destined to points other than those in the states of California, Oregon and Washington:
$706 / 20' CTR, $883 / 40' CTR, $993 per 40' HIGH CUBE CTR and 40' HIGH CUBE REEFER, $1118 / 45' CTR.
For all cargo moving via all-water to U.S. East Coast and Gulf ports and for all intermodal cargo via these ports: $780 / 20' CTR, $975 / 40' CTR, $1097 / 40' HIGH CUBE CTR, $1097 / 40' HIGH CUBE REEFER, $1234 / 45' CTR.
From Far East and Indian sub-continent countries or areas to Canada to/via Vancouver & Prince Rupert: $424 / 20' CTR, $530 / 40' CTR, $596 / 40' HIGH CUBE CTR, $5936 / 40' HIGH CUBE REEFER, $671 / 45' CTR.
To/via Halifax (by all water service): $780 / 20' CTR, $975 / 40' CTR, $1097 per 40' HIGH CUBE CTR and 40' HIGH CUBE REEFER, $1234 / 45' CTR.
