Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed former Minister of Transport Igor Levitin as Russian President’s assistant, the Kremlin press office said. The appointment is effective from the decree signing date.
Igor Levitin was appointed Minister of Transport in 2004. In 2008, he was re-appointed to the same post in the government of Vladimir Putin. Since 21 May 2012 he has served as an advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.
