Nizhny Novgorod M/V Yard (ZNT Yard) on August 29, 2013 delivered the second multifunction buoy tender of project BLV02 (Yard No 903) named "Buran", the design developer Marine Engineering Bureau said.
The serial boats were ordered by RechVodPut of the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport of Russia.
The vessel is intended for monitoring the condition of the fairway on the inland waterways and in port waters, deployment and maintenance of navigation aids.
The one-deck twin-screw-propelled ship has on board four buoys and is equipped with GPS navigator and a cargo crane with lifting capacity of 8 tonnes and radius of 10 m.
General characteristics: LOA - about 47 m, LBP - 40.49 m, breadth overall - about 10,50 m, LWL breadth - 9.70 m; amidships depth - 3.50 m, LWL draft (max.) - 2,0 / 2,5 m, operational speed - 10.8 knots., endurance - 15 days.

The vessel features ice-class reinforced bow, double sides and double bottom. The boat is able to conduct hydrographic survey.
The BLV02 series flagship “Ladoga” (YN 902) was laid down on March 15, 2012, launched on 25 April 2013 and commissioned into service on July 10, 2013. The second BLV02 vessel «Buran" (YN 903) was laid down on August 7, 2012 and launched on June 6 2013.
