JSC LenMorNiiProekt has received a positive opinion in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the State expertise commission for the construction of seaport Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula, the project designer said.
The positive EIA was approved by the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (08.22.2013, № 529) on the project officially titled "Construction of a seaport near the settlement of Sabetta on the Yamal Peninsula, including the creation of the Ob Bay shipping access channel."
The EIA effective period is five years.
The Port of Sabetta was projected for handling hydrocarbons from South- Tambey gas condensate field on the Yamal Peninsula and LNG exports (16.5mt/year) and gas condensate (1,35mt/y) to Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.
