At the awards ceremony of the "Dinheiro's Best" yearbook, held last Thursday evening (Aug. 29), in São Paulo, Petrobras was voted the best company in the Fuel, Oil and Gas industry, the Brazilian company said in a press release.
This is the tenth edition of the yearbook, which is published by IstoÉ Dinheiro. To reach this ranking, companies listed were evaluated pursuant to five management criteria: financial sustainability, human resources, innovation and quality, environmental responsibility, and corporate governance.
The data provided by the managers were tabulated and analyzed by Escola Trevisan de Negócios, Economática, and Boa Vista Informações Financeiras. The ranking works on a point system, in which each indicator has a specific weight and corporations are compared only with others of their same industry.
In total, 33 companies were awarded, in 27 industries. The top five companies in each dimension evaluated and the Company of the Year were also highlighted. The special 2013 edition also brings the thousand largest companies operating in Brazil, according to Economática and Boavista Services.
