Port of Gdansk box traffic grew 34.4% to 665.99m TEUs in Jan-Jul 2013

Container throughput at the Port of Gdansk in January-July 2013 increased by 34.4% compared with the same period last year to 665.99 million TEUs, the Port Authority statistics showed.

In July, the volume of containerized cargo handled at the Poland’s port reached 86,600 tonnes.

Overall cargo throughput for the period totaled 16.41 million tonnes.

A year ago, the Port of Gdansk transshipped 26.9 million tonnes of different cargoes.
