St. Petersburg passenger port handles five cruise ships (photo release)

Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" today, 6 September 2013 is receiving five cruise ships with 9800 passengers on board, the company said in a press release.

The cruise ships, Emerald Princess, Norwegian Star, Queen Victoria, Empress and Boudicca have moored at the ports piers.

At the same time, Terminal No 4 is handling Meteor-class high-speed catamarans operating between Marine Façade and Strelna - the venue of the G-20 summit.  

JSC Passenger Port St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" is 100%-owned by St. Petersburg government and is the largest marine passenger port in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006 and completed in 2011. Currently, the passenger terminal can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of 330 meters in length and a draft of up to 8.8 meters. The length and depth of new access channels is 10 km / 11 m. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall total length is 2171.06 m.
