Azeri crude exports via Ceyhan port climbs 0.35% to 19.800 mt

Crude oil shipments through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in January-August 2013 totaled 1,989 metric tons, a slight 0.35-percent gain year-on-year, APA reports citing SOCAR statement.

In August, Azerbaijan exported 2,440 mt of crude oil through the port of Ceyhan, a 12.9% growth compared with the same period in 2012.

Overall, since the commissioning in June 2006 of BP PLC-operated 1768-km-long Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), SOCAR has exported through the pipeline 223,564,270 mt of Azerbaijan crude oil (as of September 1, 2013).

The BTC Co. stockholders are: BP (30.1%); AzBTC (25,00%); Chevron (8.90%); StatoilHydro (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Total (5.00%), Itochu (3.40%); INPEX (2.50%), ConocoPhillips (2,50%), and Hess (2.36%).
