First Moskva-Tovarnaya-bound container train departures ULCT

Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT, part of NCC) on September 9 dispatched the first container train to the Moskva-Tovarnaya railyard of an RZD branch - Octiabrskaya Railway, National Container Company (NCC) said on Tuesday.

The train carries 59 heavy 20-foot containers, the best logistics solution for boxes delivery. The train operator is LLC Port Express, member of Sylmar Group. Container platforms owner is JSC TransContainer.

The ULCT – Moskva-Tovarnaya route is expected to become regular container train service.  

NCC Group owned Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) is a container terminal based in the port of Ust-Luga. The ULCT encompasses 40 ha, The facility’s first phase annual capacity is 440 000 TEUs, total berths length – 440 m, depth alongside – 13.5 m, storage capacity – 78,700 TEU, reefer plugs – 6,000. The fleet of handling equipment includes 4 STS (Panamax), 11 RTG and 2 RMG. The facility is projected to reach its maximum capacity (2.85 million TEU) by 2025. ULCT is managed by NCC and EUROGATE, Europe´s leading container terminal and logistics group.
