Cargo turnover of CJSC Neva-Metal (stevedoring company of Severstal) exceeded 1.8 mln t in Jan-Aug’13 (+20%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
Transshipment of containerized cargo surged by 43% to over 42,000 TEUs (some 29,000 containers) which accounted for 28% of all cargoes handled by the company in the reported period.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo exceeded 143,000 (up 1.5 times year-on-year).
Transshipment of general cargo made some 88,000 tonnes (5% of all cargoes).
In January-August 2013, Neva-Metal terminals handled over 1.1 mln t of ferrous metal produced by Cherepovets Steel Mill (+7%, year-on-year), which is a 59-pct share of all volumes handled by the company.

The berths of Neva-Metal located in the 3rd Cargo Area of Big Port St. Petersburg are used for transshipment of ferrous metal of Cherepovets Steel Mill Severstal and secondary metals of Severstal-vtormet LLC as well as for handling of containerized cargo.
