ORTEKS wins auction on purchase of SASCO’s 25.5-pct share for RUB 405.77 mln

ORTEKS CJSC has been announced the winner of the auction on the sale of 25.5% of shares of OJSC Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO), says the Auction House of the Russian Federation (AHR).

4,764,720 ordinary non-certificated registered shares were put up for auction. State registration number – 1-01-00134-А.

Opening price – 395,770,000 (395 mln 770 thou) rubles.

Auction step – 10,000,000 (10 mln) rubles.

Recognized bidders: Regional Industrial Assets LLC and ORTEKS CJSC.

Auction results: purchase of shares for 405,770,000 (405 mln 770 thou) rubles, VAT free.

OJSC Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) is one of the largest shipping companies in Russia. SASCO’s own fleet comprising mostly ice-class vessels transports a wide range of cargoes: containers, general cargoes, equipment, suction and grab bulk cargo, timber and wood products. The company provides year-round transportation from the ports of De-Kastri, Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan. In terms of export/import transportation it is one of the largest companies in the Far East. The company operates the following container and ferry lines: Pusan-Korsakov-Vanino, Vanino -Magadan, Vanino –Petropavlovsk, Vanino –Kholmsk and Otaru -Kholmsk. In 2013, it has opened two new lines: USA– Chukotka and China– Chukotka.
