Hapag-Lloyd informs about current port situation at Mexican Ports as a consequence of Hurricane “Manuel” and Tropical Storm “Ingrid” which hit both Mexican coasts, Pacific and Gulf, during September 14, 15 and 16., the Company said in a press release.
Lázaro Cárdenas:
Port and yard under normal operation.
Kansas City Southern, main rail line has been affected between “Morelia” and “Lázaro Cárdenas”. Estimated date to resume operation is September 20th.
Toll Road operation suspended due to bridge collapse. Access will be closed for approximately the next 48hs.
Federal Road operation from “Lázaro Cárdenas” to “Manzanillo” suspended due to bridge collapse at “Nexpa”.
All land operations have been suspended (truck and rail) until further notice.
Manzanillo:
Port and yard with normal operation.
Road access is operating normally except from the federal road “Manzanillo/Lázaro Cárdenas”.
Rail Operation suspended due to severe flooding at “Sayula”.
Veracruz:
Working normally
Altamira:
Port and yard with normal operation.
Rail Operation suspended due to land collapse at “Atenquique” District.
