ERS Railways recently added a new departure on the Szwarzędz-Rotterdam route, increasing the frequency from five to six per week. The train, which carries both containers and trailers, stops directly in Rotterdam at the Europoort ferry terminal as well as at Rail Service Centre Rotterdam, the Company said in a press release.
At Europoort, the arrival of the train is synchronized with Stena Line’s departures to England. Transit time between Swarzędz and Rotterdam sums up to 20-22 hours. The service features the so-called double pocket wagons which can hold one semi-trailer each, a swap body of up to 13.6 metres in length, a 30’, 40’ or 45’ container or two 20’ containers or two swap bodies of up to 7.82 m in length.
