American Bureau of Shipping, Houston, Texas, is being awarded an $8,500,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with firm-fixed-price task orders to provide vessel classification services in accordance with statute 46 U.S.C. 3316, the US DofD said in a contracts statement.

This contract includes two 12-month options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $25,000,000. Work will be performed worldwide, and work is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2014. If all option periods are exercised, work will continue through September 2016.
