In September 2013, Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC handled 40.93 TEUs (+9%, year-on-year), says press center of FESCO Transportation Group. According to FESCO, the growth was driven by import of container cargoes which has increased by 29.6%, year-on-year.
Sustainable growth of container traffic through Commercial Port of Vladivostok commenced in early third quarter of the year. In July-September, the port handled 125,507 TEUs. In the first half of 2013, the share of containerized cargo exceeded 60% of the port’s total throughput.
Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC owns and operates the property complex of the port of Vladivostok, one of Russia’s largest ports in the Far East. It is a part of FESCO Transportation Group. Commercial Port of Vladivostok operates 17 berths including container, passenger, motor car specialized berths. In 2012 the company’s throughput grew by 4%, to 6,668,100 tonnes.
