Test launch of Odessa grain terminal’s first phase to be held on October 22, 2013
Test launch of the first phase of Odessa grain complex, the largest grain terminal in the Black Sea Basin, will be held on October 22, 2013, Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority says.
It is the joint project of USPA, Odessa Commercial Sea Port and Brooklyn-Kiev LLC. Upon the construction completion, the terminal will comprise 33 reservoirs for 240,000 tonnes of grain, 254-meter berth with the depth of 13.5 m, which will make it possible to handle Panamax vessels with cargo capacity of 60,000 t. The terminal’s design capacity is up to 4 mln t of grain per year.
