On October 22, 2013 Deputy General Director O.A. Gubina held a working meeting with Vincent De Saedeleer, VP of the Port of Zeebrugge, as well as representatives of the Association Port of Zeebrugge Interests (APZI), the ICO Terminals stevedoring company and the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for relations with Russia and Belarus, the Rosmorport's press release said.
The delegation was on a two-day visit to the Russian Federation to find business partners in Russia, attract Russian investments for the development of port facilities and the exchange of management experience.
The meeting focused on the prospects for mutual cooperation between the FSUE Rosmorport and the port of Zeebrugge.
The parties agreed to proceed with the preparation of relevant documents on the basis of which it is supposed to implement joint projects in the field of employees training, exchange of best practices of port infrastructure management companies, improvement of the quality of port services in the ports of the two countries, as well as in other areas of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting Oksana Gubina invited guests from Belgium to visit the display booth of Rosmorport at the upcoming VII International Exhibition "Transport of Russia", which will be held in Moscow, December 2-7 as part of Transport Week 2013.
Port of Zeebrugge is a seaport in the Kingdom of Belgium, on the coast of the North Sea, administratively incoming in the city of Bruges (Lissewege district). The total volume of marine cargo handling in the port of Zeebrugge in 2012 amounted to more than 43.5 million tonnes.
