Farstad Shipping ASA get charter contracts in Brazil

Farstad Shipping ASA has been awarded the following charter contracts in Brazil:
Petrobras has awarded the IMR vessel Far Saga (2001, UT 745 L) a 6 year contract with 6 years options. The contract includes ROV support and other subsea related activities in Brazilian waters. Far Saga will leave the North Sea during December 2013. Before leaving, the vessel will be upgraded with a new and larger crane.
Petrobras has also extended the contract for the AHTS Far Sea (1991, ME 303 II, 13,200 BHP) with a further 4 year, commencing November 2013.
Total value of the contracts, excluding options, is approx. NOK 1.1 billion.

Farstad Shipping's fleet currently consists of 59 vessels (30 AHTS, 26 PSV and 3 SUBSEA) and 2 PSV, 2 AHTS and 2 SUBSEA under construction. The company's operations are managed from Aalesund, Aberdeen, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Macaé and Rio de Janeiro with a total of 2100 employees engaged onshore and offshore.
