Triple-E class container ships make regular calls at Deepwater Container Terminal Gdansk

The biggest vessels in the world, Mærsk's new Triple-E class container ships make regular calls at Deepwater Container Terminal Gdansk. Following the historic event of the maiden voyage made by "Mæersk McKinney Møller" on 21st August of this year, the Gdansk port also hosted "Majestic Mærsk" on 18th September and "Mary Mærsk" on 24th September.

The Triple-E class vessels are 400 metres long and have a beam of 59 metres, with up to 14.5 metres draught. Their carrying capacity is 18 thou. TEU (20-feet containers). They make calls at the port of Gdansk under the AE10 container line providing regular services between Europe and ports in Asia. Another container ship "Marie Mærsk" has recently left the shipbuilding dock. The shipping company placed an order to build ten vessels of this class, with the possibility of building another ten in the next years.
