Loading at Russian Railways down 3.2% to 1.3 bln t in Jan-Oct’13
In January-October, 2013, the loading at the network of Russian Railways totaled 1.03 bln t (-3.2%, year-on-year), the company says.
In the accounting period, the railways loaded 254.2 mln t of coal (+0.4%. year-on-year); 9.5 mln t of coke (-10.9%); 206.1 mln t of crude and oil products (-3.1%); 92.4 mln t of iron and manganese ore (+1%); 58.4 mln t of ferrous metal (-5.3%); 13.9 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (-9.9%); 38.6 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+2.7%); 30.3 mln t of cement (-1.8%); 30 mln t of timber cargo (-2.2%); 10.3 mln t of grain (-31%); 148 mln t of construction materials (-5.1%); 17.4 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-7.6%); 21.7 mln t of chemicals and soda (-6.9%); 28.5 mln t of industrial commodities and molding materials (-6%).
From the beginning of the year, the company’s turnover made 1.806.4 bln tarrif t-km (-2.2%), Cargo turnover with consideration of empty wagon run remained at the level of the previous year – 2.313.4 bln t-km.
In October, the loading of Russian Railways declined by 4.7% to 105.9 mln t.
October cargo turnover climbed by 1.4% to 191.1 bln tonne-km. Cargo turnover with consideration of empty wagon run climbed by 4.3% to 244.5 bln tonne-km.
