RZhD Logistics unloads “difficult cargo” from Finland in port Saint-Petersburg (photo)

RZhD Logistics has performed the operations on unloading (from vessel to open-top wagons) of “difficult cargo” - float fieldspar - which arrived from Finland to port Saint-Petersburg, the company says.

The fieldspar is loose and volatile, therefore it requires special activities to prepare handling equipment and rolling stock.

500 tonnes of fieldspar are destined for Trade House Hercules LLC.

RZhD Logistics was set up in 2010 as the development of logistic business of Russian Railways. As of today, Russian Railways owns 100% - 1 share of RZhD Logistics. In 2012, the company handled 3.3 mln t of cargo (up 2.2 times, year-on-year).
