Russia to deploy 15 icebreakers including one N-icebreaker for winter navigation in Gulf of Finland

Russia is going to deploy 15 icebreakers including one nuclear-icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy for winter navigation of 2013-14 in Russian sector of the Gulf of Finland. Icebreaker Kapitan Dranitsin will be in reserve, IAA PortNews learnt from FSUE Rosmorport.

Nuclear-icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy is supposed to be deployed from the third decade of January 2014 for operation in the area of western ice edge – water area of port Primorsk, entrance buoy of Saint-Petersburg.

The final layout is to be approved by Federal Marine and River Transport Agency on November 15, 2013.
