State environmental expert reports must be carried out for all big infrastructure projects, Vladimir Putin said at the meeting of the Security Council on national security in environmental protection and natural resources use, according to the Kremlin materials.

“State environmental expert reports must be of a higher quality. I stress that such reports must be carried out for all big infrastructure projects. We must be more active in bringing in independent experts to assess these projects’ environmental security, and we should organise broad public discussion in particularly important cases that are in the public eye,” the President said.
