Throughput of Aktau ISCP (Kazakhstan) down 8% to 10.08 mln t in 2013

In January-December 2013, Aktau International Sea Commercial Port (Kazakhstan) handled over 10.08 mln t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year), the company says in its press release.

Transshipment of crude and oil products totaled 6,283,000 t, dry cargo – 3,797,000 t including 718,000 t of metal products, other cargoes – 574,000 t, grain – 527,000 t. The volume of cargo carried by ferries reached 1,978,000 t.

The number of calls – 1,641 vessels.

In December, the port handled 822,000 t of cargo (+1% against plan) including almost 530,000 t of crude and oil products, 85,000 t of metal products, 55,000 t of grain, 23,000 t of other cargoes. The volume of cargo carried by ferries – 130,000 t.

The number of calls – 135 vessels.

The Republican State Enterprise "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port" operates in the port of Aktau situated on the eastern coast of the Caspian sea, the only sea port of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed for international shipping of different dry cargos, crude oil and oil products.
