Approaches to new LNG plant in Primorye will be at least 20 meters deep, the Region’s administration says.
The studies helped to select the best ground for LNG plant construction – near Lomonosov cape in the Khasansky district.
“The choice was made in compliance with the specific requirements to on-shore infrastructure, ice conditions, wind and wave load, tsunami protection, availability of turning radius and minimum depth of 20 meters for tankers with displacement of 150,000-200,000 t to approach,” says Nikolai Lovygin, Director of the Department for Energy/OIil&Gas/Coal Industry of the Primorsk Territory.
