Throughput of Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg up 22% to 396,400 TEUs in 2013

In 2013, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC handled 396,400 TEUs (+22%, year-on-year), the company says.

Transshipment of export cargo climbed by 18% to 190,400 TEUs, import – by 25% to 206,000 TEUs including 64,000 TEUs of refrigerated cargo. 

Besides, in the 12-month period, the Terminal imported 23,400 new Volkswagen automobiles. They were transshipped via a dedicated berth.

All in all, the terminal handled 334 vessels with average shipload of 1,300 TEUs (+35%, year-on-year).

Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding) is a container handling complex located in the forth cargo district of Big Port St. Petersburg. The terminal is focused on handling all types of export / import cargo including refrigerated cargo. In 2012, the Company’s throughput reached 326,199 TEUs.
