Dmitry Medvedev approves candidates for BoD of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port and Murmansk Shipping Company
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on nomination of candidates for the Boards of Directors and Audit Commissions of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC and Murmansk Shipping Company OJSC. The document is available the Government website.
Neither Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port nor Murmansk Shipping Company is in the list of strategic companies.
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group) is Russia’s largest port operator in terms of cargo turnover. 50.1% shares of NCSP belong to Novoport Holding Ltd, the beneficial owners of which are OJSC Transneft and Summa Group. The Group comprises the following stevedoring companies: Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC, Primorsk Commercial Port, Novorossiysk Grain Terminal OJSC, Novorossiysk Ship Repair Yard OJSC, NCSP Fleet OJSC, Novoroslesexport OJSC, IPP OJSC, Baltic Stevedore Company LLC and SFP CJSC.
Murmansk Shipping Company OJSC specializes in marine transportation of general cargo and passengers by the fleets of the Company itself and its subsidiaries as well as by chartered vessels. The fleet of the shipping holding numbers over 300 vessels with total deadweight of some 2 mln t. MSC is the largest shipping company which carries out the major part of shipments under the Russian flag in Russian sector of the Arctic. Major shareholders of MSC are Arctic technologies LLC (62.7%) and the state (25.5%).
