Container ship of COSCON collide with tanker in Singapore

A collision was occurred on FEIHE, a container ship of COSCON sailing to Singapore from Tanjung Pelepas, at LT 1835 January 29, 2014, with a HONG Kong-flagged tanker. FEIHE is partially damaged in her portside hull and resulted in some spillage of bunker fuel, the company said in its press release.

FEIHE reported to Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore immediately, and Emergency Response Plan was activated. With assistance of MPA, the spillage was under control. No further spillage of fuel is observed, the sailing channel is unaffected and no report of injury and cargo damage. Now FEIHE is in her stable condition.
FEIHE is carrying out the investigation. COSCON will fully cooperate with MPA to settle the subsequent matter.
