In January-February 2014, the loading at the network of Russian Railways OJSC totaled 189 mln t (+0.3%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 51.2 mln t of coal mln t (-0.4%, year-on-year); 1.8 mln t of coke (-6.5%); 43.4 mln t of crude and oil products (+2.5%); 17.3 mln t of iron and manganese ore (+1.8%); 11.2 mln t of iron ore (-3%); 1.5 mln t of scrap ferrous metal (-5.4%); 8.6 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+13.2%); 3.3 mln t of cement (-11.8%); 6.1 mln t of timber (+12.1%); 2.3 mln t of grain (+50.5%); 18.4 mln t of construction materials (-11.8%); 3 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-9.2%); 4.4 mln t of chemicals and soda (-1.7%); 4.9 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+19.5%).
From the beginning of 2014, the company’s cargo turnover made 362.6 bln tarrif t-km (+5.9%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run made 470.4 6 bln tarrif t-km (+7.5%).
In February, the company loaded 93.3 mln t of cargo (-0.6%, year-on-year). The company’s cargo turnover climbed by 4.4% to 171.3 6 bln tarrif t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run climbed by 5.7% to 222.6 6 bln tarrif t-km.
