Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited (CIMC Raffles), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIMC Group, has secured an order from a Malaysian company Thaumas Marine Ltd which is a Coastal Contracts Bhd’s subsidiary to build one gas compression jack-up unit which is based on CIMC’s Taisun 200B design, the company announces in its press release.
The Jackup is scheduled to be delivered in 2015 and will in service for Pemex in Gulf of Mexico. The charter contract is for a period of eight years with an extension option up to twelve years.
The Jackup is supported by four cylindrical legs, with leg length 112 meters. It is capable to operate at water depth up to 55 meters, and capable to process gas up to 200 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The design temperature is from 0-45 degrees Celsius. The Jackup is classed by ABS.
Coastal Contracts Bhd is a Malaysia based marine incorporation which provides marine products and services to the shipping, oil and gas and commodities industries. Coastal’s main services include building, chartering, repairing, and trading of marine vessels and offshore products.
