Container finance session at Intermodal Asia 2014
A conference session addressing the current and future economic status for shipping containers will be held during Intermodal Asia 2014, which takes place at the Shanghai World Expo Centre from 1-3 April, the event organizer said in a press release.
Titled 'Container Financing: options and views from a financier', the conference session will be presented by Charles-Hadrien Lassalle, Associate Director Intermodal Finance at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Singapore, on day three in the Strategy Theatre.
The conference session will look at the current economic situation within the shipping container market and its effects on the financing options for lessors and liners.
"On the back of the recent surge in the liquidity available to the container box leasing industry, the access to cheaper capital has created a more competitive landscape" explains Charles-Hadrien Lassalle. "We are now at a point where the overflow of liquidity exacerbates competition among lessors but also impacts the way the various players fund themselves."
Charles-Hadrien Lassalle will present the different container financing options currently available in today's finance environment to lessors and logistics service providers.
"I expect clients and prospects from the leasing and liner world, but also a number of people from the Asian market who may not yet be familiar with our products and capabilities, to attend this conference session" says Charles-Hadrien Lassalle.
A full programme of informative conference sessions is scheduled to run throughout the three day event, alongside the high profile exhibitors. Sessions will be held in both English and Mandarin and will take place in the Strategy Theatre and the Innovation Theatre.
