Throughput of Rosterminalugol hits 3 mln t of cargo from year beginning
From the beginning of the year, Rosterminalugol OJSC handled 3 mln t of cargo, the company says.
The milestone tonne of coal was loaded onto the Atlas vessel on March 25, 2014. In 2013, the same result was achieved on April 2.
OJSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Ust-Luga commercial seaport. The terminal’s design annual capacity is 12 million tonnes of coal. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters and depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able to accommodate 240-m-long, 32.2-m-wide vessels. In 2013, coal exports via the increased by 6.9% to 14.72 mln t.
