Alexander Nekipelov was re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian oil giant Rosneft, the company said in a press release.
Rosneft head Igor Sechin and Managing Director of Nord-Stream AG Matthias Warnig were elected as vice chairmen of the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors has approved the composition of three committees, each to be headed by an independent director: Donald Humphreys, Member of the Board of Directors of Rosneft, as Chairman of the Audit Committee, Matthias Warnig, Managing Director of the Nord Stream AG, as Chairman of the Human Resources & Remuneration Committee. Nikolai Laverov was elected as Chairman the Strategic Planning Committee.
Rosneft is the leader of Russia’s petroleum industry and the world’s largest publicly traded petroleum company. Rosneft activities include hydrocarbon exploration and production, upstream offshore projects, hydrocarbon refining, and crude oil, gas and product marketing in Russia and abroad. The Company is included in the list of strategic companies and organizations of Russia. The main Company shareholder (69.50%) is OJSC ROSNEFTEGAZ, a 100% state-owned company.
