Tilbury agrees extension with P&O Ferries
The Port of Tilbury, owned by Forth Ports Ltd, announces today an important contract extension agreement with P&O Ferries to continue their RO/RO service with their long-term shipping partner, Bore, at London's major port, the company said in its press release.
Commenting on the extension, Perry Glading, Chief Operating Officer of Forth Ports said: "The Port of Tilbury is very pleased to have agreed an extension of the current agreement with P&O Ferries. Since the service commenced in 2007 we have worked closely with the P&O Ferries' management team to sustainably grow this service at Tilbury, to where it sits today as an important link into the Thames, placing P&O Ferries and the Port of Tilbury at the forefront of the RO/RO market in this sector of the UK"
John Garner, Fleet Director at P&O Ferries said: "I am pleased to announce that we have reached agreement with Bore Ltd, the owners of Norsky and Norstream, that will enable P&O Ferries to continue to charter these ships after the current chartering arrangements expire in December 2014. In parallel, the Port of Tilbury contract has also been extended."
