On September 12, 2014, Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard launched the Lady Sevda, Volga-Don Max tanker with sea / river DWT of 7,022/5,420 t (Hull No 02014). According to the project designer Marine Engineering Bureau, this vessel is the twenty ninth in the series and the fourteenth vessel of this project for Krasnoye Sormovo.
The vessel was built under the order of Alfa-Leasing LLC for Kurgannefteproduct LLC.
Vessels of project RST27 have a record high block coefficient – 0.93. The lead vessel’s speed on measured mile was 11.7 knots.
Classification: KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP) by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
RST27 project vessels of Volga-Don Max class meet the dimensions of the Volga-Don Ship Canal and Volga-Baltic Waterway. LOA - 140.85 m, beam - 16.6 m, depth - 6 m. Crew - 12 persons (14 places + pilot). Sea/river endurance - 20 / 12 days.
The design takes into account special requirements of Russian and global oil companies as well as additional environmental restrictions of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping «ECO PROJECT» (ECO-S).
The tankers of project RST27 (Volga-Don Max class) are designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products with no flash point.
