Gazprom OJSC is considering the possibility to build LNG plant in Crimea, Valery Golubev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, told IAA PortNews in a lobby interview at the Forum “Integration of Crimea into infrastructure of Russia’s oil product market”.
According to him, the Company is set to lay a gas pipeline to the peninsula. Gas delivered by it could be partially liquefied. Kerch was named by Gazprom representative as one of the most probable locations for LNG plant construction. LNG is supposed to be distributed among the filling stations.
Besides, Valery Golubev noted that the Company is going to build an LNG terminal at Ust-Luga port (Leningrad region).
