MSC implements a Congestion Surcharge for U.S.A. West Coast ports
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company will implement a Congestion Surcharge for all cargoes discharged or gated in at USWC ports on or after November 17, 2014, the company said in its press release.
This action is due to the labor-related disruption on the U.S.A. West Coast ports that has caused significant delays at this time with terminal operations and intermodal processes. For this reason, MSC to charge USD 800.00 per 20 ft dv, USD 1000.00 per 40ft dv and USD 1125.00/40 ft high cube.
