In 2014, the number of ferries which passed through Baltic Customs climbed by 20.6% to 906 units, the Customs’ press center told IAA PortNews. The number of cruise ships fell by -10.2%, year-on-year, to 648 units.
In the reported period, the number of ferry passengers dropped by 20.3% to some 457,000 persons while the number of cruise passengers climbed by 2.3% to about 1.39 mln persons.
In 2014, Baltic Customs officials initiated 271 administrative offence cases.
