In January 2015, marine transport center of Taganrog handled 269,000 t of different cargoes (+28.7%, year-on-year), Harbour Master Aleksander Danilenko told regional correspondent of IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of oil products climbed by 6.6% to 113,000 t, coal – by 10.9% to 61,000 t.
In January 2015, tthe Harbour Master’s Service of the port registered 60 incoming and 54 outgoing vessels against 55 and 54 vessels in January 2014.
“The most part of January the vessels were provided with icebreaking assistance,” Mr. Danilenko said.
Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC is a key stevedoring company of the Taganrog port. The major shareholder of Taganrog Commercial Seaport OJSC is UCL Port, stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding which controls a number of stevedoring assets in the South and North West of Russia. In 2014, Taganrog Commercial Seaport handled 1.16 mln t of cargo.
