Loading at Russian Railways network down 0.2% to 189.92 mln t in Jan-Feb’15

In January-February 2015, Russian Railways loaded 189,092,600 t of cargo (-0.2%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.

In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 53.5 mln t of coal (+4.4%, year-on-year); 1.7 mln t of coke (-3.2%); 43.2 mln t of crude and oil products (-0.3%); 17.5 mln t of iron and manganese ore (+1.4%); 12.3 mln t of ferrous metal (+9.5%); 1.6 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (+11%); 8.4 mln t of of chemical and mineral fertilizers (-1.6%); 3.1 mln t of cement (-3.1%); 6.2 mln t of timber (+1.9%); 3.1 mln t of grain (+32.5%); 14.1 mln t of construction materials (-22.8%); 3.1 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur  (+3.8%); 4.2 mln t of of chemicals and soda (-2.3%); 4.3 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (-10.5%).

In the reported period, the company’s cargo turnover totaled 362.7 bln tarrif t-km (-0.1%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run declined by 0.8% to 467 bln tarrif t-km.

In February 2015, Russian Railways loaded 92.5 mln t of cargo (-0.7%, year-on-year). The company’s cargo turnover climbed by 1.6% to 174.3 bln tarrif t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run climbed by 0.9% to 225 bln tarrif t-km.
