Gazprom to put into operation LNG plant in Vladivostok in QIV’18

Gazprom OJSC is going to put into operation its LNG plant in Vladivostok in quarter IV, 2018, press center of the Primorsk Territory authorities says.

Gazprom LNG Vladivostok LLC established for the project implementation has already obtained positive conclusion from the state expert appraisal board following the review of project documentation and engineering survey results and assessment of the project facilities construction Phase 1 compliance.

The first phase of the three-phased Primorye LNG project includes commencing works on the Lomonosov Peninsula, the Khasan District. The second phase includes construction of facilities of a marine LNG export terminal and a cargo terminal, and finally the third phase - the construction of the plant itself.

In November 2013, Primorsk Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, and Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreement for implementation of the LNG plant construction project in Primorye.

Vladimir Miklushevsky emphasizes the significance of this project for the region: “First of all, it means huge investments – $13.5 bln – into the construction of a Khasan based plant. It is highly essential that the budgets of the Khasan District and the Primorsk Territory will take advantage from the tax revenues starting from the beginning of construction and after the plant is put into operation. We have agreed on this specially with Alexei Miller”.
