The number of operators now taking part in InlandLinks, the European hinterland network set up by the port of Rotterdam, has increased from five to eleven. Now it is also possible to find information about connections with Rotterdam for HTS Intermodal, Naviland Cargo, Optimodal, DP World Germersheim, TMA Intermodal and European Gateway Services (EGS), the company said in its press release.
Alcotrans, Danser Group, DistriRail, ERS Railways and Pro-Log were already taking part. The number of connections in the database has also doubled: from 29 to 60 (59 from and 60 to Rotterdam), with EGS responsible for 25 of these.
InlandLinks expects the number of affiliated terminals, now almost 80, to increase further this year to incorporate, among others, ECT’s own terminals, which include the largest inland terminal in the Netherlands: Venlo. The container depots of fifteen shipping companies are represented in the network.
Together they account for about 60% of total container throughput in Rotterdam.
