In January-February 2014 shipments of export, import and transit cargoes through the terminals of Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port surged 43.3% year-on-year to 279,600 tonnes, the company's statistics showed.
The two-month volume increase was driven by a 14.5 times spike in imports volumes to 16,000 tonnes. Shipments of export goods also increased by 10.7% to 119,600 tonnes. Coastal shipping freight traffic rose by more than 1.6 times to 141,800 tonnes.

The company handles primarily general cargo, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metals, fertilizers, heavy-lift equipment and bulked cargoes. In 2014, cargo throughput at the terminals of Arkhangelsk SCP reached 1,48 million tonnes.
