State committee accepted delivery of fast patrol boats in Novorossiysk

Acceptance / delivery certificates were signed by the state acceptance committee for high-speed littoral patrol / interception boats of project 03160 (Yard NoNo 701-703), built by Leningrad region based Pella Shipyard, the shipbuilder said in a press release.

The acceptance / delivery took place at the Naval Base of Black Sea Fleet in Novorossiysk.

The boat is designed to perform 24-hour duty, transporting a group of 20 personnel with prompt landing / boarding; carry out duties in assigned areas; intercept and seize small floating vessels; SaR operations in the areas of responsibility.

Navigation area - the coastal zone of the seas, straits, estuaries in the ice-free navigation period 100 miles offshore.
Ship's specifications: LOA: approx. 17% m; Breadth: approx. 4.0 m; Depth - approx. 3.5 m; Draft - approx. 0.9 m; Crew – 3; Special task unit - 20; Speed - approx. 50 knots; Total rated power capacity - 2200 hp.

Armament: Remote-operated complex with gyrostabilizer optical and electronic module: caliber – 14.5 m; range of target detection – 3,000 m; effective range - 2,000 m, 2 Pecheneg 6P41 machine guns, 7.62 mm.

JSC Pella Shipyard based in Russia’s Leningrad region was founded in 1950. In 1992 Pella was privatized as Pella Holding Co. comprising the parent company and several subsidiaries. The shipbuilding firm specializes in building harbor tugs with rated power of 1,000-5,000hp, pusher tugs, escort tugs, pilot boats and rescue boats for Russian and foreign customers.
