Bunker sales of Rosneft up 21% to almost 4 mln t in 2014

In 2014, Rosneft sold almost 4 mln t of bunker fuel (+21%, year-on-year), the Company’s press center says.

The share of Rosneft in the bunkering market of Russia totaled 24% in the 12-month period.

According to the statement, the increase of bunker sales was driven by optimization of the Company’s operation activities and expansion of the product range due to production of RME180 by Angarsk Petrochemical Company and Komsomolsk refinery as well as RMG380 by Syzran and Saratov refineries.

Besides, the year of 2014 saw active participation of RN-Bunker in implementation of Rosneft’s project on successful drilling of the world’s northernmost arctic well at Pobeda field in the Kara Sea. Rosneft subsidiary was bunkering vessels participating in the unique drilling operation.

In 2014, Rosneft extended its fleet when RN Tuapse, third bunkering tanker in the Black Sea region, was jointly put into operation by Rosnefteflot CJSC and RN-Bunker LLC.

Bunkering business of Rosneft is carried out through the Company subsidiaries RN-Bunker LLC and Rosneft Marine UK Ltd.

RN-Bunker provides bunkering services at Russia’s largest seaports of the Far East, Black Sea and North West Basins as well as at river ports of the Volga-Don Basin, Amur, Lena, Oka, Ob and Yenisey rivers.
