Andrei Bezsalov, ex-Director of Ust-Luga Container Terminal, appointed Transport Minister of Crimea

Andrei Bezsalov has been appointed Transport Minister of Crimea. According to the Decree signed by the Head of the Republic on March 30, the appointment is valid throughout the term of office of the Head of Crimea.

The position of the Crimea Ministry of Transport was earlier held by Anatoly Tsurkin.

Andrei Bezsalov was born in Kerch. In 1983, he graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute with specialization in designing of vessels. Before the appointment, he used to head port and transport companies in the Baltic region of Russia: Port Vysotsk, BaltTrans, Second Stevedoring company, Baltic Bulker Terminal, Baltic Dredging Company. From 2004 to 2011, he headed Ust-Luga Container Terminal. In 2013 he headed privately-owned enterprise Container Terminal Ilyichevsk.
