Throughput of Chinese ports up 2.2% to 2.7 bln t in QI'15

In January-March 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 2.2%, year-on-year, to 2.7 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 1.91 bln t (+1.2%), river ports – 792.24 mln t (+4.7%).

Container throughput climbed 7.3% to 49.09 mln TEUs including 44.25 mln TEUs in seaports (+7%) and 4.84 mln TEUs in river ports (+9.8%).
