Cargo traffic of the Hanko port (Finland) increased by 18.7% to 1 289.1 thousand tons in January - April 2006, comparing to the similar period of 2005. As was reported to the PortNews agency in the port, the volume of import cargo increased in comparison with January-April 2005 by 22.2% to 590.3 thousand tons for the accounting period, the volume of export cargo increased by 16% to 698.9 thousand tons. Including 130 183 cars imported for the specified period (+22%). The volume of trailers is equal to 43 774 pcs (+16.6%), including import trailers - 23 271 pcs, export trailers - 20 503 pcs. The volume of container cargoes totaled 15 769 teu (-3,8%) in January – April, including 8 359 teu of import container cargoes, and 7 410 teu of export. 299 297 tons of storo paper were transhipped at the Hanko port for January - April 2006 (+ 46.9%).
Cargo traffic of the Hanko port totaled 3 384.5 thousand tons for 2005. There were 1 635 calls to the port. There was trashipped 1 601.2 thousand tons of import cargoes and 1 782.8 thousand tons of export. 364 704 cars were imported for the accounting period. The volume of trailers totaled 120 615 pcs, including import - 61 117 pcs and export - 59 498 pcs. Container traffic amounted to 55 257 teu (import - 25 855 teu, export - 29 402 teu). 562 635 tons of storo paper were transhipped in the port of Hanko in 2005.
