EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven gets new weekly transatlantic service
EUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven has received a new weekly transatlantic service. The two shipping lines CMA CGM and Hamburg Süd have joined forces with United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) to launch a new pendulum service that will link Asia, the Caribbean, the US East coast and Northern Europe. Yesterday, the “CPO Miami”, with a length of 262 metres and a transport capacity of 4,255 TEUs, was the first container ship operating the new service to call at Bremerhaven. The route is Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Cartagena, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, New York, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Southampton, New York, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, Cartagena, Qingdao. The service will operate with a total of 15 ships in the 3,800/4,800 TEU class, nine to be provided by CMA CGM, five by Hamburg Süd and one by UASC.
