Throughput of Rosterminalugol up 19% to 6.86 mln t in Jan-May’15
In January-May 2015, Rosterminalugol OJSC (Ust-Luga, Leningrad region) handled 6,864,043 t (+19%, year-on-year), the terminal’s press release says.
In the reported period the company handled 116 vessels (+8%, year-on-year) and unloaded 94,990 wagons with 6.64 mln t of coal.
In May Rosterminalugol handled 1,607,480 t of cargo and unloaded 20,237 rolling stock units (+1 %, year-on-year). Maximum unloading performance in May - 422 wagons per shift (12 hours) and 803 wagons per day.
JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at Port of Ust-Luga. The Company specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the coal terminal located in the Ust-Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The terminal has two berths of total length of 540 meters with depth of 14 meters. The terminal is able now to accommodate vessels of up to 240 m in length and 32 m in breadth. In 2014, coal exports via the terminal rose 5%, year-on-year, to 15.45 mln t.
